The character literal '\'' is inproperly converted to '''. Example follows. ----- tmp.d ----- static char[] charArray = [ '\"', '\'' ]; > dmd -c -H tmp.d ----- tmp.di ----- // D import file generated from 'tmp.d' static { char[] charArray = ['"',''']; }
