According to the talk in DConf 2013, there is some interest in having a concurrent garbage collector in D2 as described in the talk. http://dconf.org/talks/lucarella.html The idea is to port this collector to D2 and keep track of the progress in this issue.

Do we still need this? We have a fork-based GC which from what I'm seeing in #985 is all that is supported.
