DMD 2.066 has the compiler switch: -vcolumns print character (column) numbers in diagnostics In dmd 2.067 or 2.068 I suggest to make columns numbers active on default and remove that switch from the list, to clean up.

This might break a few tools that are parsing DMD's output with a simple regex, so I'm not sure it's worth it.
