utf8 URLS are possible: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internationalized_domain_name The high-level API should support them and using string seems appropriate.

Sorry for the first comment - please ignore. Let's better say std.net.curl should be tested with utf8 domains (and maybe with utf8-32 content in general)? Also I think we should add at least one example of it's use with utf8 content to the documentation header.
