"D offers an innovative approach to concurrency, featuring true immutable data, message passing, no sharing by default, and controlled mutable sharing across threads" and yet there is no page on dlang.org explaining this in detail. The best one can find is Andrei's chapter from TDPL. http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=1609144

https://dlang.org/migrate-to-shared.html - sounds more like a language overview than spec.

The Dlang Tour also offers a couple of helpful pages: https://tour.dlang.org/tour/en/multithreading/thread-local-storage
