After socketstream was deprecated and removed from Phobos, it's now lacking support for streams. Currently the best option is to use the Vibe.d streaming API: http://vibed.org/api/vibe.core.stream/Stream http://vibed.org/api/vibe.core.net/TCPConnection http://vibed.org/api/vibe.core.stream/ConnectionStream (note that this is related to https://issues.dlang.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17012)
