After going to a definition of a function or variable (F12 - Edit.GotoDefinition) you are not able to return back to the previous location using other shortcuts (Ctrl+* View.BrowsePopContext or shift+F12 View.PopBrowseContext) Ive tried several versions of visual studio from 2017 down to 2005

I usually just use "View.NavigateBackward" (Ctrl+-).

View.PopBrowseContext and View.ForwardBrowseContext implemented in https://github.com/dlang/visuald/releases/tag/v0.48.0-rc1 These seem to be broken for other languages since VS2015, though. See https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/94907/vs2017-the-command-viewpopbrowsecontext-with-the-k.html
