Could you add a rotated file logger (similiar to e.g. what python provides).
In server environment and especially in cloud environment one big log file is cumbersome to use. It makes more sense to split the log in small files based on time/size.

Could you please write the spec for what you would like to have? "Similar to what Python provides" requires any possible implementor of this feature to know how Python does it, and even then, it might not be exactly what's needed here. Thanks.
