The "Look Ma No Templates D Solution" section contains the example line: std.format.doFormat(&putc, _arguments, _argptr); This is apparently from Tango, and could benefit from removal and replacement with a contemporary example.

it isn't tango per se just old phobos. https://digitalmars.com/d/1.0/phobos/std_format.html but it is still cool to have a no-template solution just prolly needs a different example backend......
