On ldc this works and a PR for pragma(framework) was closed in favor of linkerDirective but it doesn't work on mac. It should be able to add a reference to one of the Mac OS frameworks.

i was told this is unclear. pragma(linkerDirective) works to add frameworks on Mac when using LDC. It should work on DMD as well but currently does not.
