I use a randonly-generated thrown-away mailinator address (instead of an actual email address) that I deliberately keep absolutely no track of for my bugzilla account so I don't get spam (only reason I even used that at all in the first place was because I was asked to provide a real address because the system was getting bounced emails). Unfortunately, bugzilla now seems to require me to remember this garbage address in order to login. And now that email addresses aren't shown unless you're logged in, whenever my cookie expires or gets invalidated, or lost, or I use a different computer, I have to create a new account just to get my "login id" so I can log in for real. Allowing logins via the real name, or a user-specified username, would fix this.

Convince the bugzilla authors to support your needs and I'll upgrade after it's released.
