http://www.d-programming-language.org/arrays.html The docs claim that A dynamic array T[] can be implicitly converted to one of the following: U[] void[] Where U is a base class of T. Now that bug# 2095 has been fixed, this is incorrect. It should say const(U)[] const(U[]) void[] Where U is a base class of T.
